Get the full instructions here 🫶 • SEITAN: 1 cup vital wheat gluten 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 1 tbsp chickpea flour 3/4 – 1 cup vegan chicken broth or vegetable broth BREADING: 1/2 cup all-purpose or whole wheat flour 1 cup breadcrumbs 1 tbsp paprika salt & pepper to tastePLUS: 2–1/2 cups broth for simmering oil for frying SAUCE: 3/4 cup Vegan Mayo 1/4 cup Ketchup 1 tbsp sriracha 1 tsp Vinegar 2 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper TOAST: 4 hot dog buns 1/4 cup vegan butter 2 tsp garlic powder Pinch of salt INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Head 5 tbsp vegan butter in a small saucepan with 1 tbsp garlic salt - or 1 tsp salt, 3 tsp garlic powder. 2. Douse the hot dog buns with garlic butter mixture on both sides, and fry in a frying pan over medium heat until brown and crispy on both sides. 3. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for ✨authenticity✨ 4. When seitan is done, toss in the breading mixture until coated. 7. Head a large frying pan with oil. When hot, add seitan and fry a few minutes per side until crispy and golden brown. Remove from pan and plate into a paper towel-lined bowl to remove excess grease. 8. Enjoy!
